Founded in 2011 by Edeline Francois-Dryden, Women Entrepreneurs Rock is an annual interactive conference that brings female business owners from across North America together for a day of education, empowerment and encouragement.

The purpose of the conference is to create a space where women can address the challenges they face while growing their business. Additionally, the female entrepreneurs in attendance have the opportunity to connect with resources and assistance they need on the spot.
WE Rock is also a premier networking opportunity where many ladies have connected and returned in subsequent years to deepen the relationships initially established at the conference.

Popularity and attendance of the conference has grown from just 35 Atlanta based women business owners in 2011. The inaugural event took place at the offices of Dryden Tax and Accounting in Woodstock, GA. The conference rebranded in 2013 to the current WE Rock title. Last year, the conference was held at the Embassy Suites in Kennesaw, GA and drew over 100 female entrepreneurs from around the country.

To say that Edeline Francois- Dryden was born an entrepreneur is not a stretch of the imagination. From junior high school to high school and through out college, Edeline continually launched and grew new money making ventures. With a knack for making sales and managing money, Edeline started her career at a major New York City law firm after completing her BA in Accounting. Adding to her family in 1998 caused her to give birth to Dryden Tax and Accounting Services as a part time venture. After being downsized in 2009 due to the economic downturn, Edeline decided to focus on her business full time.

In the process of networking and growing her clientele, Edeline found herself frequently doling out business and basic financial advice. A number of ladies began asking if she would conduct workshops; they promised their support if she did. So she gathered a panel of experts and held her first workshop for women entrepreneurs at her Woodstock, Georgia office in November 2010; it was the genesis of the now annual WE Rock Conference.

“Part of what makes me so passionate about helping women entrepreneurs,” Edeline says of herself, “is that I know what it’s like trying to grow your business and having to struggle. I know how tough it is getting started then wanting to give up, or feeling guilty about perusing your dreams and not cooking dinner or cleaning up the house. I’ve struggled with not having the cash flow where I wanted it to be. And in the beginning, I didn’t have support like I do now. I didn’t have a network. I couldn’t afford to hire a business coach or a marketing person. I literally had to do everything from A – Z by myself. It was trial and error.”

What keeps Edeline excited about WE Rock’s continued expansion and success year after year is because it is her opportunity to give what she didn’t have in the early stages of her business: a vehicle to inspire, empower and educate women entrepreneurs, plus help them take their business to the next level.

In addition to her commitment to WE Rock’s continued success, Edeline is a founding member of the Your Small Business Toastmasters and Founder of the ATL Mother Daughter Retreat in Atlanta, Georgia. She is also launching an internet based video show for women entrepreneurs launching later in 2015.
